To be Deluded in the context of The Map of Everyday Enlightenment is to describe someone who has not heard of concepts such as Mindfulness and Nonduality, and neither have they accidentally stumbled upon them. Such a person, and in fact nearly all people ever to live on Earth, are stuck in a more or less continual state of confusion about the nature of the mind and reality. This has negative impacts on their enjoyment of life and their relationships with the ones they love.
The Deluded Stage is the opposite of the Enlightened Stage. The Deluded mind has not begun to be awakened to the Credos of Enlightenment, to Experience the Now, Embrace the Change and Unlearn the Self.
The most common path to move from the Deluded Stage to the Learning Stage is to begin studying Mindfulness Meditation and learning how that changes our perception of the Beacons of Enlightenment. Studying Nonduality Skills is another way to get started if that fits better with your own path. Once you have started understanding the concepts and have started trying the exercises, you will achieve a sort of Awakening, which likely means you are working on your Learning Mind and are not suffering under complete delusion.
Different meditative practices have vastly different ideas of what the Deluded Mind is like. These are the types of things that cause continual suffering and a clouded mind. As you progress on your path, you should see a dramatic reduction of these afflictions in your life, and you will start to follow the Beacons of Enlightenment.
