The Quality of Focus is very closely related to the Concept of Mindfulness and the Theme of Experience The Now.
There is quite a lot of nuance to the idea of Focus. The first part is to understand some of the basic ideas, which include

The second part is the progress through the Stages of Enlightenment. Note that these terms are arbitrary, but provide a context for thinking about the concept of Focus and how it is an essential Quality of Enlightenment.
The conceptual Stages of Focus are
- Distraction / Delusion - While in Delusion, there is no focus, and no understanding of Mindfulness. The mind is as the mercy of fleeting thoughts and emotions, and life seems to follow along.
- Vagueness -
- Observation
- Perceptiveness
- Awareness
